I think a big problem with 3 month programs is that it can seem daunting at first and feel like forever ways away. Then once you get those first 3 months in, you realize how fast those 3 months go by and that you CAN do it, you get addicted to wanting to complete the next one. It's very easy to complete the 3 months of AX-1, but it will also kick your ass if you are choosing proper weight. That's not to say you can't start with those, because they do have beginner levels in those programs, but AX-1 will make it so you don't take on too much too fast and get de-motivated and quit. Shred definitely puts on lean muscle.ĪX-1 is a very introductory style program for people who are just starting in the gym, or for people who haven't been in the gym for a while, to help prep you for some of the more intense programs like Shred, Beaxst, and Max Size. While it's not going to put on the volume or hypertrophy of something like Max Size or Beaxst.
